Overview 概括

The Diploma in International Hospitality aims to equip the students with the skills and knowledge in managing the Hospitality Industry. Students will develop an in-depth understanding of both the front-end operations and back-end processes of the hospitality business through a combination of classroom learning and on-the-job training (OJT). 此课程旨在培养学生管理酒店业的技能和知识,课程将结合课堂上的学习及在职培训,让学生深入了解酒店业的前线服务及内部管理。

Objective 课程宗旨

At the end of the course, students should be able to 完成课程后,学生将学会:

  • Explain the different aspects of various industry sectors supporting the tourism market from economics, research, entertainment, lodging to restaurant 解释支持旅游市场的各个不同行业,包括经济学,研究,娱乐,住宿到餐厅

Service Quality and Business Communication 服务质量和业务沟通

The aim of this module is to equip students with the fundamental understanding of service quality and business communication through the various real-life case studies. Students will appreciate the methodologies taught in class in analysing case studies and learn the industrial best practices in place.


Introduction to Tourism and Hospitality Business 旅游和酒店业务概论

The aim of this module is to equip students with the fundamental understanding of the various industry sectors supporting the tourism market from economics, research, entertainment, attractions, lodging, and restaurants to transportation. Students will also be able to identify the various sectors for their career aspirations.


Food and Beverage Service Operations 餐饮服务业务

After completing this module, students will be able to understand the fundamental concepts of Managing Services in Food and Beverage operations. Improve Service Management, Develop Planning Technique and Skill in the delivery of Quality Services.


Convention Sales and Services 会议销售和服务

The module aims to enable students to analyse key performance indicators in various forms of organizations in the new economy. Develop and apply knowledge of different types of organizations, strengths, weaknesses and organizational effectiveness.


Front Office Operations 前台操作

This module consists of the study about hotel front office procedures, including reservations, registration, posting to and settlement of accounts, balancing and auditing of ledgers, and generation of rooms division reports. Student will be able to analyse hotel front office positions and the procedures involved in reservation, registration, accounting for and checking our guests, and principles and practices of night auditing.


Service Marketing 服务营销

The aim of this module is to equip students with the fundamental understanding of marketing focusing on the aspects of services with the core marketing mix such as product, price, promotion and place, together with the emphasis on building customer loyalty, managing customers feedback and service recovery.


Business IT 商业资讯科技

The aim of this course is to equip students with the fundamentals of using Information Technologies in business operations and decision making, understanding the needs of information security management while developing the Information Management System within the organization.


Industrial Attachment 在职培训

Coleman College recognizes an important aspect in education is about gaining professional skills in a relevant workplace. As such, several of our certificate and diploma courses provide opportunities for students to gain valuable workplace skills from our arrangement for industrial attachments at relevant workplaces where students are placed in organizations within the tourism and hospitality and related establishments for a period of 6 months after completion of their institutional studies. Students are expected to have successfully completed all modules (institutional) before they proceed to the 6-month Industrial Attachment. For this course, the industrial attachment is compulsory and has to be completed successfully before they are awarded the Diploma. In cases where the students are unable to obtain the Training Work Pass from the Ministry of Manpower for the Industrial Attachment, they are required to complete a project work (project paper) to be awarded the Diploma.

Progression Pathway 升学途径

Students who pass will be able to join the Advanced Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management awarded by Coleman College, subjected to meeting the entry requirements. 考获国际接待管理大专文凭的学员,可继续修读由科文学院所开办的国际接待管理高级大专文凭,需符合入学资格。

Full Time 全日制课程: 6 months of Institutional study and 6 months of Industrial Attachment 六个月课堂研习及六个月在职培训。

Entry Requirements 最低入学要求

Age 年龄: At least 17 years old 至少17 岁
Academic 学历: At least 3 subjects pass with Grade C6 and above at GCE ‘O’ level OR Completed 10 years of formal Education OR equivalent. 至少GCE ‘O’ 水准三科优等及格 或 完成十年正式教育 或 同等资格。
